I am SUCH a proud doggy grandma- one of my puppies, Ridge, living in South Carolina with Clemson Alumni, is already retrieving at 12 weeks. She was the only one in the litter at 7-8 weeks Volhard testing to retrieve the ball. The other pups went after the ball but only Ridge (formerly known as Brooklyn) brought the ball back! Her owners Ryan and Stephanie are training her towards the goal of getting a working title in the future. I can not be more happy and proud of her. Not to mention endlessly thankful that Ryan is getting this Barbet pup out there in the hunting world in America. Ridge will be the first American born Barbet hunting! Her aunt Bibiche and Uncle Sampson are already working/hunting/retrieving Barbet.
Look at her eyes– she looks so happy and proud! Barbet LOVE to please their humans.
