This past week was a whirlwind. I drove up July 30th to Canada to attend a series of CKC dog shows. With Ivan Fabina of Fabina Shelties along with Paula Ballak of Biscay Water dogs, we started our adventures in Muskoka. There, Quaciendas Thunus Georgii, aka George, earned two Best of Winners and Best Open Male to earn 7 points in three shows. Ginkgo de Cleo Carolina, aka Cara, earned a Best of Winners as well for 3 points. With those wins, that brought both Cara and George to 9 points which a CKC championship requires 10. The following show in Barrie, Cara earned Best of Winners for 2 points, completing her CKC championship, and George earned best open male for 1 point completing his championship as well. Then, we headed to Owen Sound and Ginkgo de Cleo Ellis, aka Ellie, earned a Best of Winners to earn her CKC championship. Also to be noted, Jasper aka Frankie from Finland, earned his first CKC point! What is particularly exciting for me is Cara and Ellie are the first few of my Barbet offspring to earn their CKC championships.
Below are images I took of Ellie, George, and Cara in Canada with help in stacking by Ivan. Also below are the official CKC championship photos by Oslach photography and Garth Gourlay Photography.
