Through the years in having Barbet I’ve wanted to see more water dogs up close so I can have an idea as the similarities and differences between them. Recently, a friend of a friend in Indiana just got an adorable 12 week old Portuguese Water Dog and I brought mellow Barbet Cleo over to meet Luna.
Cleo was a gracious guest and put up with Luna’s puppy tugs and sniffs. It was so much fun to watch as Luna circled Cleo nosing, pawing, and trying to get Cleo’s attention. Eventually Cleo raised her teeth as if to say “calm down there kid” and Luna flopped over in submission. Minutes later Luna was creeping back for more.
